Cookie Notice

This page explains exactly which cookies OurYearBook uses, why, and for how long.

In short: we use only essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the authentication flow. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Browsers send them back with subsequent requests so the server can recognise your session. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies) and others persist until an expiry date or until you clear them (persistent cookies).

Cookies we use

OurYearBook uses only essential cookies. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be refused without breaking core features such as sign-in and session security.

What we do not use

  • No advertising or tracking cookies
  • No marketing or retargeting pixels
  • No analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel, PostHog)
  • No social media embed cookies
  • No third-party session replay (web Sentry monitoring captures only masked, minimal crash diagnostics with no session-level tracking)

How to manage or delete cookies

Because we only use essential cookies, disabling them through your browser will prevent you from staying signed in. You can still view public pages without cookies enabled.

To clear OurYearBook cookies, open your browser settings and clear cookies for ouryearbook.app. Your account and yearbook data will not be affected — you will simply be signed out.
